Description
The Aspire Zelos Mod is a lot of things: a premier mini-mod, an aesthetically sublime device, and a perfect introduction to vaping for new users. Overall, however, this thing is simply awesome!
The Zelos boasts a 2200 mAh internal battery, good for a solid day of vaping. Its maximum wattage tops out at 50W, which may seem limiting to some people, but it’s actually very respectable for a mini-mod. Furthermore, it’s a versatile level of output: strong enough to power certain direct-to-lung coils (e.g. the SMOK Baby Beast Q2 0.6 Ω and M2 coils, both of which top out at 50W), yet conservative enough to justify pairing with a low-wattage mouth-to-lung coil.
Looking closer at the user-interface aspects of the device, the Zelos is simply magnificent. Its sleek, ergonomic feel ensures that even the most jaded vaper will believe they’ve always been using this device – it fits in the hand just that well. Manipulating the Zelos is an cinch, thanks to its obvious and clicky fire button and the “+/-“ toggle buttons. The device turns on in wattage mode, but simply holding the toggle buttons simultaneously will allow you to move between temperature control, bypass, and voltage modes. Returning to the fire button will enable you to lock the device (recommended when not using to save battery life) by clicking 5 times. 3 clicks of the button will place your vape in Stealth Mode, meaning that the screen will not be visible and the settings cannot be changed.
